Dr. Morimoto customizes your brow lift based on the position of your eyebrows, the amount of excess upper eyelid skin you have, the height of your hairline, and your aesthetic goals.
The procedure takes approximately one and a half hours. Please note that you will not be able to drive home following your brow lift surgery, so transportation from our Spokane surgical suite will need to be arranged ahead of time.
Dr. Morimoto will strategically place your incisions to be concealed within your hairline and near the temples. Through this incision, she then lifts and anchors the skin with internal sutures, removing any excess tissue. In some instances she may also adjust the underlying forehead muscles.
Prior to your surgery, our office will provide you with individualized instructions for pre- and post-operative care to ensure a smooth recovery. After your procedure, your forehead may be taped or your head may be loosely wrapped to minimize swelling and bruising.
Keep your head elevated and avoid vigorous physical activity for as long as Dr. Morimoto recommends. Initial wound healing may take 10-14 days, after which you should be ready to return to work and your day-to-day life. Sutures and staples will be removed by our clinical team when it is appropriate.
Cosmetics can help camouflage any bruising. Even though you will look presentable to the public, your healing process will continue for several weeks as swelling dissipates and incision lines fade.
